Substance Abuse Treatment with Criminal Justice Offenders

This course primarily targets treatment professionals and criminal justice representatives working with drug-abusing offenders. It provides information about the role of intermediate sanctions, the importance and role of collaboration, and conflicts and solutions relative to integrating treatment.

While this course may be the most helpful for professionals with a basic level of experience in criminal justice and drug abuse treatment, it can also serve as a refresher course for the more experienced professional. It should be noted that this course does not address the popular Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime (TASC) model as there are other source documents and reference materials specifically for that purpose
